Finally! A light appears at the end of Chanel’s freakishly long tunnel towards making the brand more accessible. The fashion house recently announced the launch of their online shopping portal come 2016. I’m really ecstatic because Chanel has been one of those brands that remains inaccessible to most people not just because of price, but because there remains no direct online shopping option; it’s torture visiting there site knowing there is no hope of ever buying on the spot. It’s important to remember that the selection will likely remain limited online, and there’s a strong possibility Chanel, like other European fashion houses (damn you! Kenzo and Balenciaga) will offer shipping solely to countries within the EU (yup, us westerners are forced to consume at higher prices through second party sites/retailers). All pessimism aside, maybe now i’d be able to actually get my wrists around some classic pieces that remain reasonably unobtainable in my city. I’m certain I won’t be the only one smiling cheek to cheek once it goes live!
For now, I’ll just post my wants into the blogging universe and hope the stars align in my favor! Chanel Double C’s Turn-lock Bracelet
